Super funky, hole-in-the-wall/dive bar feel, dark ambiance with wooden tables down one side bar on the other. This is a walk up order bar and then sit where you’d like. Friendly service, the sausages and pretzels are house made so a must try for anyone. House made pretzel: as big as your head with an outside crunch and inside fluffy carb heaven. Perfect for dipping in the beer cheese or mustard! Definitely a must try. Beer cheese: subtle beer flavor without being too much. Not as salty as most chain restaurants beer cheese with is a plus because with the house made pretzels it’s a perfect combination. Bierbrat, Garlic Pepper, Polish, Curry & Grippos Housemade Sausages: all have great snap, juicy and thick. Polish was my personal favorite all around, savory and mixed perfect with the stone ground mustard and sauerkraut. Garlic pepper was a nice blend however I would’ve preferred a bit more garlic in it. Bierbrat was good but my least favorite of the three, it didn’t have much of a flavor to it. Curry sausage was an interesting take on a sausage, I was intrigued by the option, it had a numeric blend and curry drizzle that if it was served with naan bread as a bun and a cream sauce it would’ve been perfect. The Grippos sausage (Grippos being the Cincinnati chip of choice) was underwhelming unfortunately. I didn’t know what to expect with this one, the flavor was there but texture wise it crumbled apart quite easily. I hope they don’t stop trying new combinations and I do believe there is great potential for a Grippos sausage if they can get the texture figured out. Sauerkraut was your basic run of the mill sauerkraut that is a staple with any German delicacies. Bacon slaw consists of warm shredded cabbage with bacon strips mixed in. Great flavor however for texture I would prefer crispier bacon in it. Had a vinegar taste that complimented and blended well with the sauerkraut. Pierogis were delicious with about 6 on the plate covered in a cream sauce with crispy bacon bits and caramelized onions. Very good texture the filling was flavorful (for a pierogi) the onions and bacon definitely enhanced the dish. Overall I would go back when in town.

Great first experience. Staff was great, and service was quick. Fun environment, live band while we were here. Food portions are big, very filling. Large pretzel was great with beer cheese. Burgers are cooked to order and was very good. Good sauerkraut and roasted broccoli. Food and drinks brought out quickly, will be returning again.

Logan was the friendly bartender as well as our server! We drove from Indianapolis to go to an Easter Egg Hunt in Latonia and had planned on going to the Mellow Mushroom for Pizza afterwards, unfortunately they were closed. We went on Google and to our surprise found this quaint little German Pub, I called to make sure they were open, and not knowing the laws in Kentucky, making sure we could bring our 6 year old grand daughter with us! It was such a pleasure, Logan was very Knowledgeable over the Menu and had great recommendations! The Reuben was yummy, the Bavarian Pretzel with Beer Cheese was Absolutely Delicious ! The Fried Green Tomatoes were Scrumptious and the Burgers, oh so yummy! A must stop, if you are in the area!

Wunderbar! is an excellent German pub serving quality food, great drinks, and hosting music on a regular basis. Located in Covington just off of the 12th street exit, this fine establishment is refuge to those seeking yummy German cuisine, a tasty nightcap, or some easygoing performances. I visited for a songwriter night, met some incredible people, and left with a full belly and a haply heart.

Stopped by for a beer and touch of German food, and left quite satisfied with our pick. Had the Feuer and Pepper Garlic sausage, both were delicious. Feuer was actually spicy in a way I'd not had a spicy sausage before, and I loved it! Very unique! The sauerkraut was mid, but the braised cabbage was mouth watering good. My partner had the cabbage side along with the bacon slaw and a Bier Brat. Bacon slaw was fantastic as well. Staff was great and made us feel comfortable and like regulars even though we were strangers. The place is small but quaint and it was a perfect day to sit outside in their patio area.

I ordered the Bacon burger and was not displeased! It was absolutely AMAZING! I'm not sure if the mustard is house made but I wanted to take home a little bottle. I got a side of Mac N Cheese which is probably some of the best house made Mac n cheese I've had. The staff was super friendly and was just the cherry on top.

Found this wonderful little nook in a wall neighborhood bar on Google Maps, and took the chance. I am so glad we did. The place was exactly what I had hoped a comfortable small venue with some of the most amazing German and German inspired food I’ve had in my travels. This is a must eat in the Cincinnati area. The sausages were delicious and varied enough that you had to try as many as your belly could hold. Would definitely recommend the Fever and the Hot Met wurst. The bacon slaw was something I’ve never had before and was surprised when I got it but it was amazing definitely try it. The pierogis were amazing and something I could eat daily. The service was spot on and friendly. The only word of caution I have is that it is a small neighborhood bar and the seating is limited. You may end up at the bar or sharing a table but everyone is friendly and outgoing.
